Health & Nutrition

Health

  • Development of algorithms for combined data processing including medical images and measurement indicators from bone density tests, as well as bioanalytical data from biological material (blood) of osteopenic postmenopausal women.
  • The objectives of detecting and calibrating possible bone mass reduction through biomarkers in their technical mapping correspond to the definition of classification and regression systems on the basis of heterogeneous measurements and signals.

Nutrition

The main objective of the infrastructure is the collection of large volumes of non-targeted genomic, proteomic and metabolomic data from a wide range of samples (biological, food and beverage, by-product and by-product, waste and other organic materials). These data will be stored on the one hand in the horizontal infrastructure, characterised and fed into successive processing cycles. This processing will result in innovative products and services that will meet important needs in the Nutrition field, in both basic and applied research for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). These areas are a priority for smart specialisation and are associated with a large number of SMEs in the Attica region (diagnostic centres, food industries, wineries, pharmaceutical companies et al.).
